About Me
Football Ben I was born in Madison, Wi. I played linebacker for the 1997 Arizona State Rose Bowl Football Team until injury caught up with me. I struggled in a physical, mental, and spiritual hell for a few years until, through an acting class, I began to experiment with breathing exercises. I found they helped calm me and my pain.

When I first came to yoga I was a 235 pound injured college linebacker (pictured left) who couldn't touch my toes. Patience and persistence where things I learned to embrace.

Often I would get frustrated because I couldn't do half of the postures everyone else was so easily doing.
I felt like I did not belong there and wanted to leave, but instead I would close my eyes and relax into my breath, not concerning myself with what everyone else was doing and not letting my mind get the best of me. Slowly, with consistent practice my breath began to open up my body, and then I began to experience my spirit.

I began to explore all the many modalities in the healing arts; yoga, Qi Gong, massage, nutrition, meditation, and more.
Yoga Ben
From all I learned I created a style of healing unique to me. When I am not doing bodywork or yoga I can be found on the stage or on-screen. Acting is my form of self expression, I have done half of the Shakespearean Cannon and some TV and film. I have lived and worked in Phoenix, Tucson, San Francisco, and now reside in Santa Monica.
